As a safety measure, after a device has been attempted unsuccessfully a set number of times, it is placed in a 'hold' status, and no more attempts will be made to inventory this device until it is released from hold.
This feature has been added to prevent our software from 'hammering' a device when it has proven to be unsuccessful. The number of failed attempts before a device is placed on hold is controlled within the Inventory Settings menu.:
The red button to the right of a device on hold allows you to remove the hold to the specific devices. To remove all holds, rather than remove them on one device at a time, simply use the 'Actions' menu and choose to 'Remove Holds on All Devices':
