As of version 3.5.0 of the Block 64 Discovery Application, Windows 7 SP1 is now the minimum OS requirement for installation. However, there are some prerequisites and details that are worth noting. See below for more details.
Operating System
Minimum: Windows 7 SP1 or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
Recommended: Windows 10 release 1607 or newer or Windows Server 2016 or newer
CPU
Minimum: 4 CPU cores
Recommended: 4 CPU cores or more
Memory
Minimum: 8GB of available memory
Recommended: 8GB of available memory or more
Note: on virtual machine deployments, dynamically allocated memory may not appear to the VM as expected. To ensure the full complement of allocated RAM is available to the VM, disable dynamic memory.
Software Prerequisites
NPCAP
NPCAP, required for network discovery, is included by the application installer. You may see a notification for the NPCAP driver installation as below. You can safely click on Install.

Windows Updates
If you are deploying the application on an operating system older than the recommended (see above), the updates below may not already be installed.
These updates are included during install, but it is recommended to install these prior to deployment in order to appropriately control necessary reboots.

If you are prompted to reboot, it is highly recommended to follow that prompt to ensure a smooth install of the discovery application.
